As the rest of Canada knows, it doesn’t snow that often in Vancouver.  When it does there are never enough snowplows to go around so it piles up quickly.  It’s not unusual to see people of different nationalities pushing on the bumper of a car that’s stuck, shouting directions in more than one language. The snow turns into an icebreaker – and sometimes the car even gets moving again!
